Advancing orthopedic surgical excellence through global collaboration.

Dr. Marc F. Swiontkowski leading a foundational trauma case discussion at Hôpital Universitaire de la Paix (HUP).
This historic session served as the inspiration for what has now evolved into the IHOGR.
The International Haitian Orthopedic Grand Rounds (IHOGR) is a premier academic platform bridging global expertise with the realities of low-resource clinical practice. By prioritizing evidence-based strategies for austere environments, we empower surgeons to build sustainable capacity and improve musculoskeletal outcomes where medical infrastructure faces its greatest challenges.
Our mission is sustained through the strategic collaboration of leading global medical institutions and surgical societies dedicated to advancing orthopedic education in Haiti and worldwide. By uniting international academic expertise with local clinical leadership, we foster a longitudinal partnership that strengthens surgical residency programs and elevates the standard of musculoskeletal care globally.
